Hi! We’re Roger and Daniela Nahas, the founders of Best Body Bootcamp.
Our mission is to educate, motivate & lead people to be passionate about their fitness and health. As holistic lifestyle coaches we believe that fitness and health are a journey and we all must work towards it every single day! We owe it to ourselves to balance our stress filed lives with daily physical activity, organic whole food, and much needed down time.
As personal trainers we loved the idea of playing an integral role in helping our clients transform their bodies, and change their lives. After being in the fitness industry for a decade we became disillusioned with the traditional gym setting, which was becoming too much about ‘making the sale’, rather than what was best for the client.
In the Spring of 2007, Best Body Bootcamp was born!
We knew we were on to something when our very first bootcamp class sold out and we had people booking in advance for their next session! These days we still provide the same great workouts, hire great trainers and train them to run the very best bootcamp in your neighbourhood!

My journey in fitness and nutrition is a little different than most.You see, I’m a former fat kid! The kid who was a total introvert! I was always the guy who was too embarrassed to take his shirt off at the beach!
I remember the day everything changed for me - I looked in the mirror and wasn’t happy with what I saw. I made the decision to change my body and my life. It was 1999 and I took a before pic and measurements and body fat and I entered the Body for Life Challenge. Over the next 90 days, I completely changed my eating habits, and worked out regularly.
The before and after pic you see below is the result of my hard work. I actually was awarded the Canadian Grand Champion for my age categoryI was no longer the fat kid. I looked forward to getting to a beach so I could take my shirt off and I became more outgoing and fun! After seeing the difference it made in my life I decided that I wanted to dedicate my life to helping people realize the amazing benefits of optimal health and fitness.
I started out as most trainers do in your typical gym. After years of working in a gym setting, Daniela and I were getting disillusioned with how Big Box Gyms operated. We wanted to train people functionally and to make their bodies strong in the movements they used in the real word. We wanted to make working with a highly trained instructor more affordable, and we wanted to make fitness fun because let’s face it; if you are having a blast, it makes it that much easier to stick to it. The result was the launching of Best Body Bootcamp in 2007. We started out with one location and have grown it to what it is today!
I have to tell you that although I looked great in the after pic above, the food and exercise plans I followed to get that after pic, hurt me in the long run. It made me look good from the outside but my body was breaking down on the inside. The way I was working out and what I thought was healthy eating was in fact hurting me in the long run. I was over training, taking longer to recover from my workouts, I tore my rotator cuff and had gut issues. Nothing I could do was helping and then I was introduced to a C.H.E.K Holistic Lifestyle Coach who helped me. Turns out I was stressing my body beyond repair and then giving it food that wasn’t helping but was actually stressing my body even more. He made me look at my body and the food I put into it in a totally different way.
That lead me to complete my certification as a C.H.E.K Holistic Lifestyle Coach and we pass that knowledge on and encourage holistic nutrition to our members.In addition to running the day-to-day operations of Best Body Bootcamp, I also work with individual clients doing fitness training as well as holistic nutrition and lifestyle coaching.
When I’ve got a bit of free time, I spend as much of it as possible with my wife and son, I bike year round, play hockey, practice Tai Chi daily, read & take courses.

My greatest passions are being a wife and mom, and of course as you can probably guess fitness and nutrition.
My journey in fitness and nutrition began about ten years ago when I decided to get certified as a personal trainer. After many years of working out myself and experiencing its life changing benefits, I decided that I wanted to help and inspire others to make fitness part of their lives.
After years of working in a gym setting, Roger and I decided to launch Best Body Bootcamp in 2007, way before the whole bootcamp craze began! We had become frustrated with the politics of working in a big box gym and had a vision of something bigger and better for our clients: A program where people could get a great workout while still getting attention on good exercise form, and with the added motivation of being in a group setting.
Being lovers of the outdoors ourselves we realized that exercising outdoors in the spring and summer would be a great-added bonus to our program. Turns out we were right, people loved it!
About three years ago I completed my certification as a Holistic Lifestyle Coach, which gave me the knowledge that I needed to revamp the nutrition portion of our program and encourage holistic nutrition to our members. I am a huge believer that if you learn about proper nutrition the less you have to worry about dieting. I hate diets! My hope is that everyone that comes through our doors ends up feeling great because they are treating their bodies well, not counting calories.
These days, I also work with individual clients doing fitness training as well as holistic nutrition and lifestyle coaching. Being a proud mama of a two year old also inspired me to begin running workshops for moms on toddler nutrition.
What else do I love to do in my spare time? What spare time? I have a toddler! But we do lots of great things together, I love to jog by the lake and take my son in the jogging stroller and he shares in my interest of cooking and eating good foodJ. When I’m not mothering of course I’m usually working out, taking a course, reading a book, or doing yoga.
