DO I HAVE TO BE FIT TO JOIN THE BEST BODY BOOTCAMP?

Men & Women of all fitness levels are welcome to join the Best Body Bootcamp. We are here to support you and to ensure that everyone feels they are part of the team. Our initial assessment will allow us to gauge your fitness level and customize your exercise program to ensure each and every workout is challenging and safe. The instructors will show variations of most of the exercises to make sure that you are always pushing yourself, but within your own level of fitness. As the program progresses and you build strength you may find that you are able to move on to more difficult variations and level of intensity. Members are encouraged to listen to their bodies and work at their personal level and pace, allowing even members with minor injuries to participate.

WHAT KINDS OF PEOPLE GO TO THE BEST BODY BOOTCAMP?

All kinds of people attend, anyone from the beginner who has never worked out before to the advanced exerciser looking for variety, new level of challenge and excitement in their workouts.

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?

Your energy levels and general well-being will improve within the first 2 weeks. By the end of the program you will also feel stronger, leaner and you will have lost inches and in many cases you will see a considerable difference in your appearance.
You will meet great people who share your same goals of attaining better health and their Best Body, which will keep you motivated and keep your goals in sight

WHAT DIFFERENTIATES THE BEST BODY BOOTCAMP FROM OTHER BOOTCAMPS?

  • Our instructors are all certified as personal trainers, many with kinesiology degrees and extensive backgrounds in sports, nutrition and rehabilitation. They are also trained in CPR and First Aid.
  • We stress safety and proper technique. We make sure you are performing each and every exercise in a safe and effective way.
  • Our instructors never ridicule - this is not a military style bootcamp! You will certainly be pushed and motivated, but to your own physical abilities.
  • For those of you who choose the Best Body Bootcamp as your ongoing workout regime, we move indoors during the winter months, so you can participate the Best Body Bootcamp year round.
  • Our BMO field location has lockers and shower facilities making it more convenient for those commuting into the city and attending a class before work.
  • Each class is different to keep the program fresh and stimulating. Our workouts constantly challenge your muscles, making sure that your body never adapts to the exercises ad you never hit a plateau. Confusing the muscles makes your body work harder to keep up and helps you attain you Best Body in less time.
  • Workouts include cardiovascular drills, resistance training, core and stability training, kickboxing, plyometrics and stretching.
  • Our program recognizes the importance of balancing regular exercise with healthy eating in achieving optimal health. We stress that diet plays a significant role in reaching your goals. You will receive an e-book and weekly emails with a guideline of how you should be eating, helpful tips; such as how to read labels and recipes to help you stay focused.

WHAT DOES THE INITIAL ASSESSMENT INCLUDE?

  1. You will record your measurements so that you can track where you have lost inches and gained muscle. We have steared away from weight and body fat percentages because they are usually not true measure  of your results and tend to discourage many people. We stress that numbers are not as important as your improved energy levels, strength, confidence and overall health are much more important!
  2. You will be put through a fit test, made up of several timed exercises, which you will record so you have something tangible to measure your improvement by the end of the four weeks.

HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?

Each session is 4 weeks.
Session run consecutively throughout year: outside in the spring and summer and inside in the fall and winter.

WHAT DAYS OF THE WEEK ARE CLASSES HELD?

Classes are held Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. When there is a stat holiday on a Monday, classes are rescheduled to the Tuesday of that week. Each fantastic sweat session in one hour in length.

do you recommend the best body bootcamp as an ongoing fitness program?

Definitely! Although we run the program on a four week session basis, continuing with the program means you will have even better results.
We have a high percentage of repeat members who have chosen our program as their ongoing fitness regime.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE AT THE BEST BODY BOOTCAMP?

Every day is different. So you never know what to expect and you never get bored of the same routine. Major muscle groups are divided up: one day of the week the main focus is legs, and on the other two days we divide up upper body muscles. Each day incorporates a cardiovascular component to get your heart rate up, as well as a focus on the core and abdominals.
Our workouts Think Outside the Gym of your typical and sometimes tedious routine. Each day is challenging in a different way, so come prepared to have fun and do some serious sweating!

HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Results vary depending on your effort level, attendance and eating habits. Performance and endurance improvement can take place in as little as one week. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks. Remember, everyone is different.

WILL I BE SORE SOMETIMES?

Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It’s part of the process that lets you achieve your Best Body.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO MY BOOTCAMP SESSIONS?

You will need a medium strength resistance band and a yoga mat, which you can purchase directly from us.
You will also need to wear comfortable workout gear and appropriate running shoes. We strongly recommend that you bring a water bottle and a small towel.

DO I GET A DISCOUNT IF I BRING A FRIEND TO JOIN WITH ME?

There is a $25 discount for new members who register for the same bootcamp class with a spouse or friend.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

Class is rain or shine unless there is lightning and it is unsafe. In the case of a class cancellation which is very rare, class is rescheduled to the Tuesday or Thursday of that same week.

WHAT DO I DO AFTER THE BEST BODY BOOTCAMP IS OVER?

You will get re-measured and tested to see your progress and success in the program. The Majority of members return for a second and third Best Body Bootcamp. We also have many bootcampers who use the Best Body Bootcamp in place of their gym and have purchased 3 month, 6 month or 12 month memberships at a discounted price.

IS THERE A REFUND POLICY?

If you are unable to attend bootcamp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to the session start date, however a $50.00 cancellation fee will apply. If we are notified after this point there will be NO refunds or credits issued. This is due to the fact that you had reserved a spot in the class that we can no longer fill after the class has started.
 

What if I have to miss a class due to vacation or work travel?

We understand if you have to go on vacation or travel for work. Please notify us in advance and we will credit your missed classses towards the purchase of a new bootcamp session. Each missed class credit is worth $10. Maximum 3 missed class credits per 4 week session.
*Credits only apply to the purchase of a full session. Credits do not apply to already discounted session fees.*

WHAT IF I AM ONLY ABLE TO ATTEND PART OF A SESSION?

If members wish to only join for only certain days within a monthly session, the monthly package price will no longer apply. Each class will be charged at a $20 per class basis subject to availability.
* Bootcampers signing up for the full month will be given priority
