I am a Dynamic Fitness Activist who is passionate towards helping people, wellness and martial arts. To help you understand myself and others better, I studied Psychology and Philosophy earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in both. In between my studies I spent most of my time doing workout videos at home and thus, my fitness quest began.
In 2000, I attended a martial art clinic held by 10th Degree Grand Master Fred Villari who demonstrated the mixed martial art style including: Shaolin, Kempo, Karate, Kung-Fu, Jiu-Jitsu and Qi Gong.
Since then, I have been practicing martial arts and earned my 1st and 2nd degree black belt. I am a Certified Martial Arts/Self-defense Instructor and love helping others develop physical and mental strength. I believe having a positive attitude is the key to achievement and success.
To take my love for fitness to another level, I went on to get my Fitness Instructor Certification to create a unique and fun martial art kick boxing group exercise. Inspiring others with my outgoing and vibrant energy, I love to help others focus on their vision, and to believe in themselves and that any goal is achievable with the right mind-set.
When I'm not teaching, I love participating in outdoor activities like rollerblading, hiking, canoeing and camping. I'm an advocate of hot yoga and laughing yoga. I also spend a lot of my free time reading, writing and networking.
My grandest intention is to motivate and educate the benefits of being physically active, having a mind-skill focus and living with a definite purpose. “Move your body to activate your great-mood generator,” is my motto.
