I am a graduate from York University with my Bachelor of Education and a degree in Psychology, specializing in Sports Psychology. I enjoy focusing on physical education, coaching children in a variety of sports and activities, and am a Personal Training Specialist for both adults and children.
Raised in the figure skating world, I learned the discipline of fitness early in life. It has been my commitment to fitness that has allowed me to continually pursue a variety of sports at a high level of competition. As a marathon runner, long distance mountain bike racer and recreational tennis player, I've enjoyed years of sports specific training with repeat Olympian Marc McCoy.
Motivated by the group training energy and the help of a number of elite and professional athletes, I have learned what it takes to be able to perform at such levels. This wealth of training allowed me to improve my tennis game when I had less court time, qualify for the Boston marathon (my first marathon!), and successfully complete "the toughest mountain bike race in the world", La Ruta de los Conquistadores.
In my volunteer time I continue to enjoy introducing new people to fitness as a founding member and cycling coach of Gears Girls, as well as marathon coaching.
Results oriented, I support people in a life of fitness by providing focus, energy and attention to detail. I continue to take courses in health and wellness in my commitment to the marriage of mind, body and spirit.
