Valerie has always been interested in athletics. She has competed nationally and internationally in ladies figure skating.

She got her start at the age of 2 in figure skating and has been a 4 time provincial ladies champion in the sport.

In 2003 Valerie fractured her back figure skating and struggled to come back from the injury. Not wanting to give up on being involved with athletics, Valerie decided to go to university and pursue athletic conditioning for athletes on the side. Since then she has fallen in love with helping others achieve their fitness goals. Having graduated with both an Honours B.Sc. in Neuroscience and Health Sciences, Valerie is interested in holistic conditioning that helps people to achieve both athletic and personal goals.

For fun, Valerie loves to take advantage of all the wonderful things to do outside in the Nation's Capital. In her spare time she likes to volunteer with organizations such as the Canadian Cancer Society.
